Condolence From: John Burnham
Condolence: I knew Roger for a short time but long enough to call him a friend. I worked with him at Duncan Aviation and it was always a pleasure to see him down on the floor. My condolences go out to the Palmiter family. I'll be playing in the "Hockey for Life" tournament this weekend. 240 skaters are skating for a reason and cause including myself. There will be a banner with posterboards attached that people can sign - entitled "Why I Skate." I have 2 reasons and one of them is in memory of Roger.

Condolence From: Pete Mills
Condolence: I had the privilege of working with Roger at Duncan Aviation. We would have a morning talk, see how the day was shaping up, then go about our jobs. Roger was always optimistic and ready to find the good in people or things. It is so very hard to comprehend that he is gone. I offer my condolences to his family and hope they find comfort in sharing the memories of Roger's life.

Condolence: To me as an QA inspector for Duncan Aviation Roger personified the aircraft mechanics creed... Upon my honor...I will hold in sacred trust the rights and privileges conferred upon me as a certified aviation mechanic. Knowing full well that the safety and lives of others are dependent upon my skill and judgement, I will never subject others to risks that I am not willing to assume. I pledge never to undertake or approve work that I feel is beyond the limits of my knowledge, nor will I allow an unqualified person to persuade me to approve aircraft or equipment as airworthy against my better judgement. I will not be influenced by personal gain, nor shall I pass as airworthy, aircraft or equipment about which I am in doubt either as a result of my inspection or uncertainty regarding the ability of others who have worked on it to accomplish their work satisfactorily. I realize the grave responsibility that is mine - to exercise my judgment on the airworthiness of aircraft and equipment. I pledge unyielding adherence to these precepts for the advancement of aviation and the dignity of my profession. I had the pleasure and privilege to work with Roger at Duncan Aviation. My sincere sympathy goes out to Roger's family.

Condolence: To Roger: It's very difficult not seeing you every day at work. Sharing a "beginning of the day" conversation with you each morning. Hearing your voice and laugh in the department. Seeing how you loved working and associating with everyone here at work each day. Selfishly, it isn't fair that you were called home. But, we knew we couldn't keep you....you were needed elsewhere. To Roger's Family: We all share in your loss. All of us who were honored and privileged to know and be touched by this terrific man. We're much better people because of it.

Condolence: I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one, Roger. I grew up as next door neighbors with the Palmiters. I was also the baby sitter for Roger and Nyla. Our Parents were best of Friends. We were Family not just neighbors. I remember the cook outs we had together. And I remember Randy working in his wood craft shed in the back yard. I still to this day have a hand tooled set that Roger made, it is a salad bowl and 4 individual salad bowls. He made it for my Mom for a birthday gift, and it was passed to me several years ago. I would say it is at least 50 years old now. My heart feels sorry for all of you. May you rest in peace Roger, and fly high with the Angels. God bless.

Condolence: Tammi, I always loved running in to you and Roger, and it always seemed to be at a restaurant ...😉 My kids and my dad and I specifically remember you and Roger being at the Pancake House on a regular basis, and I always loved coming over and chatting with you both, especially since I'm not at work to get to talk and joke with you. Roger was such a sweet sweet man, so patient and kind and it was obvious that you were the love of his life...❤ Please know that you and David and Stephanie are all in our thoughts and prayers. If you need anything at all please let us know, I'm always available to talk or just hang out with you and listen. You have always been very special to me, you are definitely a true friend! Love you, Amanda, Kevin & Kelcey

Condolence: Roger was a great guy. Having worked the same shift as him for several years, I could always count on his advice and wisdom. Whenever I had a question regarding the considerable paperwork it takes to make an airplane safe for flight, Roger would always deliver. He was never condescending and always helpful; a true professional, expert and voice of reason. My condolences to his family. Very sorry for your loss.

Condolence: Roger was an awesome friend and co-worker that I had the pleasure of knowing in school and working with. He was a very courageous man, he would give me a hug every time I would see him. He was comforting me, even though he was the one battling cancer. He was one of a kind, a very caring family man. I will miss his contagious smile, and frienship. I'm so sorry for your loss of such a great man. Deepest sympathy to all of Roger's families and friends.

Condolence: Roger and I met 11 years ago when I started at Duncan and we hit it off right away. I did some furnace work for he and Tammi at their new home and after that we became good friends. He and I would share stories and vent to each other about the work politics as well as other life experiences. He always had a hug for my wife Bev and they got along great. We lost a great man, and although he is not with us anymore his memory will always be. Rest in peace buddy, we will miss you ...

Condolence: Roger was an person to look up to and learn from. We had a funny thing we did if he was coming to talk to me about something, I knew he wanted to talk to me but I would look away jokingly and pretending I didn't see him and start walking away from him. He would always say "Too late, you made eye contact." Then we'd joke and continue on with the conversation whether it was a serious conversation or just passing on information. Roger will now be making eye contact with the Lord! Roger will be dearly missed walking the hangar floors and hallways of Duncan Aviation, "making eye contact" and making us better just for knowing him. To his family I pray that God will give you peace and comfort as you walk forward in your life. And know that Roger has touched many lives and for that I'm a better person because of him. Your Duncan Aviation and Air Force brother.
