Obituary for Albertine "Toni" Donna Bechtol (Decuypere)
Albertine "Toni" Donna Bechtol, 87, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 4, 1935, the daughter of Jack David DeCuypere and Essie Ellen (Kester) Jarvis.
Toni was employed at the Pennfield Township Office for 17 years. She previously was an Owner/Operator of an Adult Foster Care for 10 years.
Toni is survived by her Husband, Frank Bechtol; daughters, Jane (David) Myers, Renee (Jim) Bolz, Connie Votava; son, Joseph (Pam) Weakley; grandchildren, Amy (Trevor Jaskew) Myers, Colby (Amber) Votava, Seth (Chelsey) Votava, Parker Votava, Evelyn Votava, Carter Votava, Kevin (Rachel) Bolz, Melinda (Matt) Hall, Joseph (Nicole) Weakley, Julia Beffrey, Jacob Beffrey; great grandchildren, Jordan, Kaylie and Madison Hall, Eliot, Flinigan, Amelia and Laurel Weakley, Isla Mae, Abram Jaskew, Callie, Cassie, Cammie Votava, Emma Bolz; special children, Joseph (Melinda) Beffrey, Dennis (Jan) Siddall, Patti Ellis and Pat (Wendy) Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Wesley and Albert DeCuypere and special child, Gary Ellis.
Toni loved gardening with her husband Frank. For many years, they enjoyed making crafts and participating in craft shows together. Toni loved decorating her Christmas Tree each year. Toni was an active member of North Avenue Church of God and loved to attend worship.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 starting at 12:00 pm with Pastor Jess Eckman officiating.
Interment will take place in the Hicks Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Children's Ministry at North Avenue Church of God, 1079 North Avenue, Battle Creek, MI 49014.
