Alice M. Birch, 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on March 26, 1933, the daughter of Burrell and Josie (King) Permelia.
Alice was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School and then was employed at Kellogg's for 27 years until retiring in 1996.
Alice is survived by her Son: Charles S. Walker III of Battle Creek, MI; Brothers: Isiah Permelia of Tuscan, AZ, Frank (Diane) Permelia of Battle Creek, MI, Robert Permelia of Battle Creek, MI and Joseph Permelia of Battle Creek, MI; Sister: Ardella Tillman of Battle Creek, MI; Sister-in-law: Ozzie Permelia of Battle Creek, MI; Special Cousin: David King of Battle Creek, MI; Granddaughter: Diana King of Battle Creek, MI and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her Parents; her Husband: Robert Lee Birch; Daughter: Toni Y. Walker; Brother: Fred Permelia; Sisters: Burril Lee Jackson and Lucy Johnson.
Alice enjoyed playing cards, bowling, gardening, blues music and fishing.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 1 PM with ??? officiating.
Interment will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
