Obituary for Allan Joe Crandall

Allan Joe Crandall, 69, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Borgess Medical Center. He was born on May 7, 1949 to Thaine A. Crandall and E. Grace (Chapin) Crandall.
Allan was a graduate of the Pennfield High School class of 1967. He went on to graduate from a trade school and was certified in drafting blueprints for housing and development. Starting at a very young age, Allan worked closely with his father in construction until he began working for Kellogg’s in 1969. He worked there for 32 years as a line operator until he retired in 2001. Allan loved helping others and maintained a hard work ethic his entire life. He volunteered his time to the church and opened his home to children’s ministries including hosting many campfires, hayrides, and other church events.
Allan married the love of his life on May 4th 1974 and is survived by his Wife of 44 years - Carolyn Ruth (Coffing) Crandall of Battle Creek Michigan; Daughters, Rebekah (Dustan) Yergo of Mt. Wolf Pennsylvania; Kimberly Crandall of Battle Creek Michigan; Sons, Josh (Michelle) Crandall of Battle Creek Michigan; Richard Crandall of Gaylord Michigan; Sister, Donna (Bill) Morgan of Battle Creek Michigan, and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Father, Thaine A. Crandall and Mother, E. Grace Crandall who he missed dearly.
Allan loved The Word of God and built his family with Jesus Christ his Lord and Savior being the cornerstone of his faith. He enjoyed a variety of things including farming, traveling, building furniture, hunting, fishing, cooking, baking and collecting old cars.
