Obituary for Andrea Lynn Canales (Burch)
Andrea Lynn Canales, 73, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the MediLodge of Marshall. She was born on November 17, 1948, the daughter of John Anderson and Maxine (Robinson) Burch.
Andrea was raised in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and then perused her nursing career at KCC, where she became a LPN. She was employed at Community Hospital for 25 years and then at the VA Hospital from where she retired. She also worked at Washington School for many years as the Lunchroom Supervisor.
Andrea is survived by her children, Troy Burch, Robin Burch, Nakia (Rashaan) Williams, Steven Canales; two special children, LaTia Williams, Burt Bryant; grandchildren, Laveto Monroe, Teone Burch, Kerell Burch, Alonnah Williams, Keshawn Canales, Nakia Robinson, Aalaysha Canales, Ashley Monroe, Maurice Banks; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; sisters, Jacqueline Burch, Rita A. Potts, Patricia Anderson, Catherine Holliday, Brenda L. Ford, Joann F. Anderson, Deidra J. (Sylvester) Crowd and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Troy Burch, Jr., siblings, John Daniel Anderson, Barbara A. Anderson and John D. Anderson Jr.
Andrea enjoyed listening to music, reading, taking trips to the casino and playing cards. Her main passion in life however was her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren always knew they were welcome at her house and she welcomed everyone with open arms and love. Her family will remember her for her good cooking and the continuous love that she provided to them.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm with a repass to follow in the Baxter banquet room.
