Obituary for Anthony L. Elmore
Anthony L. Elmore, 56, of Battle Creek, Michigan, transitioned from this life on Friday, May 15, 2020. He was born on October 23, 1963, the son of Leon Elmore and Evon (Pharr) Elmore. Anthony accepted Christ at an early age. He was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. After graduation, Anthony served his country in the US Air Force for 5 years. He had his own law practice for 15 years and was a Pastor.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Christina Elmore; daughters, Tonesha (Marcelle) Heath and Yaqar Elmore; son, Jachdiel Elmore; stepchildren, Ciera Walker, Tiffany Kirk, Justin Harris, Shane Harris and Erica Harris; 7 grandchildren; parents, Leon and Evon; sister, Karen Elmore Woods; brothers, Leon D. Elmore and Bobby Couvillion and a host of extended family members. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Elmore.
In accordance with Anthony's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, for socially distant love and support, the family will be in the parking lot of the Law Firm of Anthony L. Elmore at 309 W. Michigan Ave. in Battle Creek on Friday, May 22, 2020 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm with a homegoing parade immediately following.
Anthony's memorial service will be on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 1:00 pm. There will be a private service held. There will be a live stream of the service. Details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Anthony's name to the Haven of Rest Rescue Mission at 148 E. Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, Michigan, 49017.
