Aréshae Korrin Gumbs, 24 of Fulton, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at home. She was born on January 17, 1994. Aréshae is the daughter of Major Duane A. Gumbs and LaShelle D. (Smith) Williams.

Aréshae attended and graduated from Athens High School in 2012 and received her Associates Degree (General Studies) in 2017 from Kellogg Community College. She was employed by Wal-Mart in Battle Creek for three years as an Associates in the Toy Department.

Aréshae is survived by her parents USMC Major - Duane A. (McKisa) Gumbs of Chula Vista, CA, LaShelle D. (Robert) Williams of Fulton, MI. Her loving three sisters D’laiya Gumbs, Charley Williams of Fulton, MI, LaCourtney Stewart of Kalamazoo, MI; brother Kalen Brown of Grand Rapids, MI. Grandfather Bobby (Bernice) Jackson, of Battle Creek, MI, Grandmother Merry Farris of Battle Creek, MI & Grandmother Ulrica Edwards-Moore of Clarendon, Jamaica, Special Cousins Jordan Cooper of Los Angeles, CA & Amber Bell & Jaslynn of Battle Creek, MI. along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, cousins, friends and loving family members. Aréshae was proceeded in death by her Great-Grandparents Burley & Ammie B. Smith, and Grandfather Marvin Gumbs Sr.

Aréshae loved fishing, music, dancing, singing, rapping and listening to Chris Brown music. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters, family, and friends. Aréshae had a love for writing, and her dream was to one day write a novel as well as music. She envisioned going back to school to obtain her Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice and to one day buy her dream car (Corvette). Aréshae will be missed by her family, friends, and all those she touched with her BEAUTIFUL infectious smile, and incredible spirit.

A celebration of Aréshae's life will be held Saturday, October 27, at Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service, beginning at 12:00 pm.
