Arthur Dean DeLano, 92, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away, Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his home in Battle Creek Michigan. He was born November 4, 1918 the son of Leo and Retta (Slentz) DeLano.
Arthur was 1937 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. He retired in 1980 as Captain of the Battle Creek Fire Department after 39 years of service. He was realtor in the Battle Creek area for many years. He was an avid inventor and had 17 U.S. Patents to his credit.
Arthur is survived by Wife of 36 years: Georgina G. (McLeod) DeLano of Battle Creek, MI; Step-Children: Michael Gariepy of Traverse City, MI, Kathy Scott of Marshall, MI, Nancy Nesbitt of Battle Creek, MI and Richard Gariepy of Battle Creek, MI; Numerous Grandchildren; Sister: Virginia Berry of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his Parents; his Son: Thomas DeLano; Sister: Mary Lou Wertzler.
A private service will be held.
