Barbara Ann Steinbrecher, 61, of Battle Creek, Michigan, also of Burtonville, Maryland, passed away at her home unexpectedly on November 2, 2020. Barbara was a beloved daughter, sister and wife. She loved listening to old time music and classic rock and roll. She also loved reading biographies, especially about the Kennedy Family.

She graduated in 1977 from Maple Valley High School, Vermontville, Michigan. After high school, she attended Western Michigan University where she earned a degree in Sociology. After college she moved to Maryland where she lived and worked for over 30 years. Most recently, she moved home to Michigan to be close to her family and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Don Ray Steinbrecher and Mary Lois Steinbrecher of Nashville, Michigan. She is survived by her husband, Brian Bertein; sisters, Debra (Thomas) Heffron, Donna Gardner, Linda (Richard) Elliston, Paula (John) Coakes and Ronda Marczynski and brother, George (Shannon) Steinbrecher, as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

In accordance with Barbara’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family memorial service will take place at a later date.
