Obituary for Betty Dale Diggs

On Sunday, May 24,1959, Betty Dale was born to the late Hugh and Mattie Bradley in Chicago, Illinois.

In 1976, her only daughter, Nikata Keoni was born. In 1977, she graduated with honors from Steinmetz High School.

Shortly after high school, she continued her education and graduated with an Associate's degree in Pharmaceutical Science from Harold Washington College.

Betty worked with Walgreens for a number of years as a Pharmacy Technician before moving to Battle Creek, MI in 1989 for a managerial position with Walgreens.

While living in Battle Creek, she reconnected with a childhood friend, Andre and they married in August of 1993.

Betty decided to pursue pharmacy again and worked with Bronson Hospitals for over 20 years.

Betty was full of jokes and laughter. In her spare time, she loved to do winery tours, craft shows which consisted of her own homemade jewelry and quilts and she enjoyed gardening. As a teenager, she studied martial arts and receive a yellow belt in the practice of "Kata".

On February 15, 2022 she passed away at the Glenn Arbor Hospice House.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister from West Memphis, AR, and one brother from Chicago, IL.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Andre; her only daughter, Nikata Adams of Homewood, IL; three brothers, Hugh, Theron and Tony Bradley of Pullman, MI; two grandsons, Ta'Ran Bradley and Cornell Stevenson of Homewood, IL; and a host of family and friends.
