Obituary for Betty June Hicks

Betty June Hicks, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, returned to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and ultimately gave her peace.
Betty was born in Dayton, Tennessee on January 22, 1932 the daughter of Claude and Mary (McGhee) Phillips. She was employed at Clark Equipment and then became a caregiver for the terminally ill.
Betty is survived by her daughters: Debi Hill, Susan (Mike) Wissner and son: Tim Hicks; Grandchildren: Angela (Matt) Miller, Nikki (Aaron) Berning, Shalisa (Josh) Lambert, Tiffany Watson, Dustin (Liz) Hicks, Jamey Johnson, Tracy (Derek) Beavers, Trisha (Levi) Crampton, and Tammy (Miguel) Huerta and 23 great grandchildren; Sisters: Jo Ann (Ernie) White and Betty Phillips. She was preceded in death by her sons: Harold Wayne, and Larry Hicks, parents: Claude and Mary Phillips, sister: Ella Mae Malik and brother: Russ Phillips.
Betty was blessed with a loving family and truly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty dedicated her life to God and spreading the beauty of the gospel. Betty is dearly missed by her loved ones, who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Monday May 11, 2015 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 1 pm with Pastor Jeff Davis of Overflow Church officiating.
Interment will take place in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
