Obituary for Phillip Edwin Bicknell
Phillip Edwin Bicknell, 64, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at home, peacefully. He was born on September 15, 1954, the son of Thomas Richard Bicknell and Joyce Eleanor (Clute) Bicknell. Phil graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1971. He married Faye Bicknell on March 11, 1995. Faye passed away May, 2003. After high school, Phil started working for Yellow-Union Cab in 1979; working there until October 2018, when he retired due to health issues.
Phil is survived by his mother, Joyce Bicknell; 3 brothers, Charles Bicknell and family, Kevin Bicknell and family, Michael Bicknell and family; 1 sister, Brenda Phillips and family; 4 kids, Lori Lockmiller, David (Brenda) Hebbler, Shawn (Vicki) Mosley, Melissa (Craig) MacGregor; 11 grandkids and13 great-grandkids. Phil was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Bicknell and his wife, Faye Bicknell.
Phil loved to watch the Detroit Tigers and Lions as well as watching many University of Michigan sports including football, basketball and wrestling. He was a bowler for many years. Phil and Faye had 3 dogs that he loved very much.
