Bonnie Jean  Finkbiner (Stevens)
Bonnie "BJ" Finkbiner, 86, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 2, 2018, into the arms of the Lord to be joined with her beloved Husband, Martin Lee "Fink" Finkbiner and Son, Orville Buck. She was born on October 31, 1931, the daughter of Seth S. Stevens and Mary M. (Wilton) Stevens.
She made her home in Tennessee after the death of her husband. She was a member of Monterey Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by her children, Pam (Mike) Spillane, Cyndie (Wallace) Still, Lillian (Jack) Looper, and Cliff Buck. Her brothers, Jay Sr. (Sally) Stevens, Orv (Dorothy) Stevens, Walter (Bonnie) Moore, 12 Grandchildren, 26 Great-Grandchildren, and two Great-Great-Grandchildren, with another one due this month. Preceding her in death were her sisters, Annette Lockwood, Irene Wolf; Brothers, Seth Stevens II and Roy Stevens; her Grandson, Matthew Spillane and a Great-Granddaughter, C.J. Buck.

Seth S. and Mary M. (Wilton) Stevens
Moved to Battle Creek at the age of 5 after the death of her father. She attended the old Joy #1 school in Pennfield from 1st-8th Grade. She attended Lakeview Junior High and Graduated from Lakeview High School in 1949. She married C. Eugene Buck in April of 1950. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1968. She then married Martin Lee "Fink" Finkbiner on June 21, 1975. He also preceded her on October 22, 2009. Charter member of Pennfield Presbyterian church. Attended Dexter Lake Church of God and was a member of NACG. She was instrumental in forming the Purdy School PTA with Don Herrick. She was a Cub Scouts Den Mother and she was active with Corky McAllister in the Girl Scouts in the Early 1960's. She was a former member of Community Hospital Auxiliary. served as recording secretary member of women's of the Moose since 1972, had served as senior regions member of the Eagles Auxiliary since 1968 and served 2 presidency terms, 10 years secretary and filled several other offices. Member of the VFW 7956 Auxiliary was treasurer for 6 Years.
A celebration of her Life will be held on August 11, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at her daughter's home-16361 13 Mile Road, Battle Creek, MI. Memorial contributions may be made out to the VFW 7956.
