Callie C. Truss, 86, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. She was born on March 19, 1933, the daughter of Wilson Ware and Flora (Williams) Ware. She loved going to church, reading the Bible and spending time with family.

Callie is survived by 7 sons, Ernest Truss, Fred (Tina) Truss, Terry (Charlotte) Truss, J.T. (Rita) Truss, Jimmy (Otistean) Truss, Horace Truss, Willie Truss; 2 daughters, Flora Freeman and Dorothy Turner; 5 sisters, Ruby McCray, VanDella McCray, Ethel Mae Thomas, Dora Lee Ware, and Patricia Hussian; 4 brothers, James Ware, Allen Ware, Edward Ware, and Freddie B. Ware; Four Special granddaughters, Lesha Hall, Charleeta Bradley, Diamond Harrington, Zena Hollis; three special great-granddaughters, Rashannia Hall, Samira Hall, Jamela Bradley and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Inez McClinton, Connie Dell, Mary Travis, Rosy Blackman, Dorothy Mae Ware and Corrine Ware, brothers, Robert Ware, Jim Ware, O.T. Ware, Ed Ware, and Holly Ware.

The funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road, on Tuesday, July 8, 2019, 12:00 pm with the family receiving friends an hour before the service. Interment will take place in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service
