Carol Lavina Russell, 71, of Battle Creek died peacefully Monday, October 19th, 2020, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Carol was born May 18th, 1949 at Leila Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan and was the daughter of James Boyles and Lilian Boyles (Ermel). Carol attended Pennfield Schools and later was certified as a nurses aid. She retired from Care Community in 2011.
Carol enjoyed traveling, fishing, crafts, playing cards & board games, bingo, watching movies and telling jokes. But among these, her greatest joy was laughing while enjoying the company of family and friends.
She is survived by her significant other, Brian R. Butler; her son, Jeremiah Russell and daughter in-law Sarah Russell; her grandchildren, Evelyn Russell, Abigail Taylor and Brooklynn Taylor.
In accordance with Carol's wishes, a cremation has taken place.
A small gathering was held in honor of Carol's life.
