Obituary for Carolyn Fay Mann (West)
It is with great sadness we share that Carolyn Fay (West) Mann of Bellevue, MI passed away unexpectedly on July 12, 2023 at home.
Carol was born in Dayton, Tennessee on February 9, 1955 to proud parents Daryl and Anna (Dosey) Ferguson. Carol graduated from Pennfield High School with the Class of 1973 and then later attended KCC.
On December 8, 1979 she married Douglas "Mac" Mann. They were happily married for 28 years before his passing in 2007. Carol was employed at TransAmerica, Evergreen Manor, Kellogg's and most recently retired from Bellevue Schools as a food service worker, which she loved every single one of those "little darlings". She always had quarters willing to help pay for lunch if the kids needed some extra money.
Carol is survived by her brother, Kevin Louwhorst; sister, Kathy (Rob Ayotte) Ferguson; nieces, Cara Ferguson, Jana Thomas, Amanda Dickinson; grandchildren, great nieces and nephews; best friends, Cindy Ballard, Anna Geething, Amy Schmidt and Tirrel Wood who adopted MoMo Carol's beloved dog.
Carol loved traveling in her motorhome with Mac, lounging in her pool, riding motorcycles, snowmobiling, taking in the animals that were constantly dropped off at her door, camping, playing poker, bowling and antiquing. She loved watching Antique Road Show religiously. Everyone knew not to call or bother her when it was on, but nothing made her happier than spending time with family and friends who she loved dearly and who loved her.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas "Mac" Mann; parents, Daryl and Anna Ferguson and grandmother, Bertha Dorsey.
There's nothing more that Carol would love than a big party, so come celebrate her life with us for a luncheon for family and friends on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Grange, 11003 9 1/2 Mile Road, Ceresco, MI, right off B Drive South.
