Obituary for Cathorine Lucille Lehman (Weiderman)
Cathorine Lucille (Weiderman) Lehman passed away peacefully on the morning of December 20, 2022 at the age of 93. Cathorine was born in Kalamazoo, MI on December 27, 1928 to Clifford and Mildred (Warner) Weiderman.
Those closest to her called her Kate. Kate met her future husband, Dwight Lehman shortly after he was out of the service. They were married January 10, 1946 until his passing in 2012. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Kate was a devout Christian and enjoyed reading, cooking, knitting, crocheting, fishing, bird watching, and spending time with her family. She was looking forward to the birth of her next great grandchild coming in June 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Mildred (Warner) Weiderman; brothers, Leeland, Manly, and Kenneth Weiderman; her husband, Dwight Lehman for whom she was married for 65 years; and daughter-in-law, Susan Lehman. She is survived by her children, Pamela and Michael (Mary) Lehman; grandchildren, Dan (Rebekah) Lehman and Austin (Meagan) Lehman, Kara (Michael) Hawarny, and Neil (Stephanie) Chupp; great grandchildren, Hannan, Copelynn, Sawyer Lehman, Ava Hawarny, Addison and Connor Chupp; sister, Shirley Mercer.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Family Altar Chapel, 14844 6 1/2 Mile Road on January 7, 2023 starting at 11 am.
