Obituary for Christina S. Barrus
Christina S. Barrus, 67, of Springfield, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2021. She was born on October 15, 1953, the daughter of Franklin Hoard and Shirley (Cook) Hoard. She was the oldest of 12 children, including Becky and Gary. Christina worked at Union Pump for 23 years and would retire from Asmo.
Christina is survived by her daughter, Tonya (John Garza) Barrus; grandson, Korey (Jessica) Barrus; granddaughter, Paige (Travis) Favorite; four great grandchildren, Xavier Favorite, Bentley Curtis, Izabella Favorite and Baby Barrus (who is on the way). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bruce Barrus and two brothers.
She enjoyed riding motorcycles and traveling "Out West" with her husband. Christina also enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs, which gave her great joy.
In accordance with Christina’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Wednesday March 31, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Christina’s name may be made to Bronson Cancer Center.
