Obituary for Creceda Marie Quarles

Creceda Marie Quarles, 54, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. She was born on May 27, 1961, the daughter of Bobby Quarles Sr. and Ella Mae (McClenney) Quarles.
Creceda graduated from Battle Creek Central High School. She was a nurses aid at the old community hospital and Evergreen as a CNA. She enjoyed teaching at church and had graduated from Kellogg Community College with a degree in early childhood education. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Ceda is survived by her step-mother, Kathy Quarles; Daughter, Ashley (Caleb) Mitchell; Son, Michael (Selena Halder) Linton II; two Brothers, Larry (Glenna) Wilson, and Bobby (Joyce) Quarles Jr.; Sister, Rochelle (Charles) Collet; beloved father of her children, Michael Linton; two special friends, Debbie Hall, and Tameka Priestley; significant other, Rocky Thompson; step-grandchildren, Brionna and Tevon Case, and Jacalea Mitchell; great nephews, Amoni and Tylann Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ceda loved to have family gatherings. Her family was her entire world and she enjoyed caring for them. She enjoyed cooking, B-B-Qing and throwing parties for the kids. She was an usher at her church and enjoyed volunteering and teaching there.
