Obituary for Curtis Steven Ivy

Pastor Curtis Steven Ivy, 51, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2016 at home. He was born on May 26, 1964, the son of Steven Henry Ivy and Bobby Jean (Bill) Ackley.
Curtis graduated from Harper Creek High School. He served in the U.S. Army from 1984 to 1989. After school he attended A.I.T Tech. He devoted his entire life to God. He ran Sheppard's Heart Ministry and children's ministries for most of his life.
Curtis is survived by his Wife of 16 years - Roxane (Canniff) Ivy; three Daughters, Crystal (Dave) Trupiano, Amanda Corace, and Rebecca Ivy; three Sons, Tyler Ivy, Tony (Katrina) Cheatham, and Justin Canniff; nine Grandchildren; Brother, Chris Ivy; two Sisters, Amanda and Kelly Ivy; caregiver and family friend, Tyria Brown; close friend, Bill (Shelly) Bernard. He was preceded in death by his Father, Steven Henry Ivy.
Curtis enjoyed fishing, working on Sudoku books, playing dominos, board games and cards. He was very competitive and loved to win. He lived to preach God's word and loved to bring people closer to God. Curt's smile is what he will be remembered by, it could light up a room. He loved to be silly and make people laugh and he will be dearly missed by all those who knew him.
