Daniel Raymond Montambo, 74, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Brenda Moore Facility. He was born on August 17, 1942, the son of Glen Montambo and Flora (Pasquali) Montambo.
Dan is survived by his Wife, Lynn Kay (Newman) Montambo of Battle Creek, Michigan; Daughter, Sherri Barzydlo; Sister, Glennis Terapelli; step-daughter, Alyson (JR) Dakin; step-son, TJ (Kwinn) Leva; Ten Grandchildren, Ryah, Maddy, Rece, Everlee, Foster, Charlie, Paisley, Betsy, Willow and Salem and his faithful service dog, Zsolt. He was preceded in death by his Father, Glen Montambo, Mother, Flora Montambo and Brother, David Montambo.
Dan enjoyed owning and running his underground fence business, K-9 Containment. He was an avid bird hunter. He loved to travel with his Wife, Lynn. He enjoyed being a field judge for hunting, and instructing firearm training for local authorities. He was a very active professor in criminal justice at KCC. He enjoyed spending his days on the golf course. He loved to run and exercise. He showed dogs and were very proud of them. He was a very hard worker and generous man, there was never a minute you would find him without work on his mind. Above everything else, he loved his family and his service dog Zsolt.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Willow Lake Sportsman's Club, 51704 US-131, Three Rivers, MI from 2:00p.m. to 6:00pm.
