Darik was such a handsome, sweet, and well mannered young man! I loved his compassion and empathy for others. He always said hi to me, and flashed that big beautiful smile whenever he saw me. I wanted so much for him and his children to have a wonderful life. It's so heartbreaking to see that he has succumbed to his demons; drugs show no mercy, nor prejudice.
My heart breaks for everybody that loved him! May he Rest In Peace, until the resurrection. ♥️

Lynda, I am so sorry that Darik lost his battle. I know how difficult the days ahead are going to be. No one can tell you that it will get easier because it doesn't get easier. It becomes less painful but that takes awhile also. Lean on your family and friends and have the faith in God that Darik us not suffering anymore with evil demons like drugs. Try to remember the good times and talk about them, that is really all that helps. It has been almost 5 years since we lost our Mara, but now when I think of her I do smile and remember her beautiful smile and the love that she shared. I am praying for peace in your heart and the strength to keep going for those beautiful Grand children who need to hear good things about their Daddy. He didn't have to be a hero to be talked about and shared with them. If they don't have good memories share some with them that you have. God Bless you and your family. I love you. You will always be my little cousin!!!

Darik was such a special friend to me in so many ways. I felt it a privilege to be his friend. He was that friend who if you were fortunate to have him as a friend would always have your back, he was the real deal. One is blessed to have someone in their life with Darik's attributes as a person which is rare. Someone who is genuine, loyal, honest with integrity, indeed a real man. I will miss him in my life because I know he is indeed a once in a lifetime kind of friend. Darik I will miss you always. My sincere condolences to Lynda, his momma & best friend & to his father whom he loved with all his heart❤ Rest in peace our beloved Darik.
