David A. Mackinder, 80, of East Leroy, Michigan, died from complications of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born on August 16, 1941, the son of the late Kenneth Dale Mackinder and Florence (Etts) Mackinder.
David was a 1960 graduate of Lakeview High School. He was a loan officer for Finance America until retiring in 1999. In retirement he drove a bus for Harper Creek Schools for 5 years.
David is survived by his Wife of 41 years, Cheryl Marie (Rank) Mackinder; Daughter, Sheri (Tim) Egbert; Sons, Scott (Linda) Mackinder and Steve (Jillian) Mackinder; 5 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren; Brother, Dale (Gayle) Mackinder and Sister-in-Law, Linda Mackinder. He was preceded in death by his Parents and Brother, Jon Mackinder.
David enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, pickleball, square dancing and mowing the lawn.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, 375 West Dickman Road, on Thursday August 4, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
