David Lewis Miller Jr., 58, was called home so unexpectedly on January 13, 2023. He was born on January 16, 1964, the life he lived was so full of love, joy and adventure.

He graduated high school from Battle Creek Central. He enjoyed spending time with his friends and family always brought joy to his life. After spending many years at Cracker Barrel, he became a wonderful chef. If you couldn't remember an ingredient all you had to do was give him a call and he would tell you without even looking.

This wonderful man, guidance counselor, coach and best friend is survived by his wonderful wife of 32 years, Rose Mary Caldwell and their children, Christopher A. Caldwell, Jacqueline Caldwell (Rayontric Rorgers), Luquentine (Melissa) Caldwell, Joseph L. Stanford, Luvorn (Tiara Dent) Caldwell, Sade Young (Raymond Taylor), Maurissa Caldwell, Kalesha J. Caldwell (Sharnika), Danesha Miller (Levi), Diamond Miller (Anthony); his lovely mother, Freda Williams; brothers, sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He was accepted into the gates of Heaven by his father, David Lewis Miller Sr.; brother, Micah Polk; father-in-law, Luvorn Caldwell Sr.; mother-in-law, Clara Bell Caldwell; and grandchildren, Tonio, Darius and My'Zhanae Caldwell.

A celebration of David's life will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Reverend Floyd Bradley officiating.
