Dawn Michele Meister, 41, of Battle Creek, MI, passed away at her home on January 22, 2019, of natural causes. She was born on August 17, 1977, in Columbus, OH.
Dawn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Helen Dunlap of Ohio and grandparents Herbert and Bev Meister of North Carolina.
She is survived by her parents, Reverend David and Denise Meister of South Haven, Michigan; children, Darian, Justice, Heaven and Stephen-Chad Meister; brother Michael Meister of Nappanee, Indiana and his family; aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews. She leaves behind a beloved friend, Connie Remick and her family cats.
Dawn cherished time with her children and family. She loved the outdoors, nature and animals. Family trips to the cottage in Canada were some of her happiest times. She graduated from Hillsdale High School in 1995. She recently began college courses to earn her degree in pharmacology. Her family and friends will remember Dawn for her smile, her sense of humor and her creativity. Dawn was proud of her Native American heritage. A line from a favorite of hers, “Native American Prayer for the Grieving” will remain with those who loved and knew Dawn.
“I am with you still in each new dawn.”

Dawn will be cremated according to her wishes and there will be a private family memorial at a later date to celebrate Dawn’s life.
