Demetrius Eugene Cain was called home on March 13, 2023. He was born to Cynthia Colbert and Gregory Cain on June 30, 1981 in Jackson, Michigan.
Demetrius moved from Jackson to Battle Creek as a child and attended the Battle Creek Public School. His favorite pastime was spending time with family, particularly his children and girl, and hanging out with his 'real day ones.' He enjoyed rapping, writing, reading tarot cards for people and had a gift of reading the energy of people. Demetrius was a great father, a good man and a protector. He was a man of great intelligence and strength, having the ability to persevere and press through adversity and life challenges with his head held high. Demetrius dreamed of being his own boss, and owning multiple properties to rent out.
Demetrius was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Colbert and son, Kyzeke D. Thomas. He leaves to cherish his loving memory with his daughters, Zariel L. Cain, Demetrianna Cain; son, Demetrius Cain Jr.; step-daughter, Zakaria Coy; brother, Deshawn Colbert; nephew, Deshawn Colbert Jr.; and love, Talisha Coy who was the mother of his children.
Family Hour took place on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the Jericho Temple, 10 Bidwell Street, Battle Creek, MI 49015 from 12:00 pm with the funeral service starting at 1:00 pm with Pastor Alphonzo Bryant officiating.
