Denise A. Stafford, 65, of Battle Creek passed away surrounded by her loving family on January 9, 2020. She was born on June 12, 1954, to Urban and Ilene McDonald. Denise graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1972, and then earned her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. She was employed at Dare Products and TRMI.

Denise is survived by her husband, Robert Stafford; mother, Ilene McDonald; daughters, Katherine Caraway, Michelle Caraway, Shaun (Tom) Barnhart; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sister, Debra (Robert) Gibson; brother, Steve (Kathy) McDonald and several extended family members. She was preceded in death by her father, Urban McDonald and son Lucas Stafford.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Denise enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She could be found enjoying a game of cards with her friends, bowling, gardening, or traveling. Denise was an avid animal lover and was always rescuing any stray that she came across.

In accordance with Denise’s wishes, cremation has taken place and the memorial service will be held Friday, January 17, 2020, at 11:00 am at Baxter Funeral & Cremation, 375 W. Dickman Rd. Battle Creek, with Pastor Mikki Sandlin officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McDonald Family.
