Obituary for Dominga De La Cruz

Dominga De La Cruz (78), widow, mother of 6, grandmother of 22 and great-grandmother of 18. She raised her 6 children on her own while living in Mexico, after they grew up and moved to the states she followed and became a resident of Michigan, just recently a U.S. citizen.

She deeply loved and cared for her family and made sure to stay as active and involved in their lives. Many other people grew very fondly of her as well and cared for her deeply. She was an active member of the Catholic church, making sure that her kids made God a part of their life.

Her favorite past time was playing “Loteria,” (Mexican bingo) with all her children, grand and great-children. In the moments that she could she would sit outside and sunbathe, garden, going on walks and taking her grandchildren to the parks. She was a master at crochet, did many large tablecloths while watching her favorite show, “Caso Cerrado.”

All in all, she was an intelligent, wonderful, loving, caring, funny and the list can go on and on woman. She will be truly missed.
