Donald Waters passed away at the age of 87 on December 17, 2020. Donald was born October 23, 1933 in Ontario, Canada to Percy and Betty (Van Strien) Waters. He grew up in Battle Creek and worked at Post Cereals for 37 years. Following his retirement from Post, he worked at Hastings Area Schools for several years, living in Dowling, Michigan for the last 40-plus years of his life.
Donald had 8 children. He raised sons Michael and Mark and daughters Terry, Cindy, and Michelle with his first wife, Joan (Budd). He raised sons Justin and Lucas and daughter Meredith with his wife Vickie (Paige).
Donald was active with his family and many home improvement projects up until quite near the end of his life. He loved spending time with children, including his many grandchildren. He loved sports and was always willing to give his time and energy to help with projects for friends or family.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and his daughter Cindy. He is survived by his wife Vickie and daughter Meredith who currently reside in Dowling, Michigan; his sons Lucas, Michael, and Mark as well as daughters Terry and Michele who all currently reside throughout California; and his son Justin who currently resides in Washington. He is also survived by many grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
At this time, cremation has taken place and no services are being held.
