Donna Marguerite Bolden, age 56, of Battle Creek passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 surrounded by family. She was born September 5, 1956 in Lansing, MI to Donald and Judith James. She was active with the Army Reserves for 11 years and was honorably discharged in 1986 with the rank of Staff Sergeant. She graduated high school in Hastings and completed 3 ½ years of college courses at Lansing Community College and Davenport. Donna enjoyed reading, playing cards, and traveling.

She is survived by daughter, Victoria Bolden; grandchildren, Caleb Mackenzie Smith, Cara Faye Smith; father, Donald James; brothers, William L. (Debbie) James, Thomas D. James and other extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother and grandparents.


A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 1:30PM at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Colleen Nelson officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Heartland Health Care Center.
