Donnel Smith, 56, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He was born on August 3, 1965, the son of Richard T. and Inez B. (Burrell) Smith.

Donnel is survived by his two sons, Jerelle Smith and Phillip Smith; three grandchildren, Cameryn Smith, Jaiden Patterson, Caisyn Smith; mother, Inez B. Smith; two brothers, Robert (Gloria) Smith, Richard T. Smith Jr.; four sisters, Jeanette Smith-Laws, Jennifer I. Smith, Judy L. Smith-Sisson, Joyce L. Smith; special nieces, Danielle Smith, Tenille Smith-Traylor; special nephews, Rothell Smith, Edwin Smith, Larz Smith, Troy Smith and a host of all other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard T. Smith, brother, Edward Burrell and special nephew, Robert Bobby Smith.

Donnel enjoyed spending his time around his family and friends. He enjoyed the memories that he made with them and watching everyone including his children and grandchildren grow up. He also enjoyed watching sports.
