Obituary for Douglas Palmer Pennock

Douglas Palmer Pennock, 73, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at home. He was born on March 15, 1944, the son of Harry Pennock and Josephine (Peckham) Pennock.
Doug graduated from Battle Creek Central with the Class of 1962.
He was married to Jacquline Evans for 25 years, this union ended in divorce.
Doug is survived by his two sons, Tony D. (Shawn) Pennock, Douglas C. (Mary) Pennock, daughter, Lori C. Hudson, special friend, Karen, 11 grandchildren, Anthony Pennock, Elizabeth Creller, Kayla Hudson, Alec Hudson, Brandon Bridges, Craig Pennock, Raymond Pennock, Kellie Pennock, Allison Pennock, Hunter Pennock, Reese Hudson and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry Pennock, mother, Josephine Pennock and sister, Diane Reece.
Doug was a very avid baseball player, making it on the Battle Creek Amature Baseball Hall of Fame Wall. He enjoyed volunteering for his children's Cub Scout events, and getting involved with their activities. Doug was very interested in history and looking back through the years. In his younger years, Doug loved working on cars and working with his hands. He liked to watch NASCAR and Detroit Lions. He was a wonderful man that loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Monday, January 22, 2018 starting at 11:00 am.
Interment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
