Obituary for Dustin Lee Kipp

Dustin L. Kipp, 40, passed away peacefully at Glenn Arbor Place in Battle Creek, MI on January 14, 2023 after battling illness for 20 years.

He was born on October 15, 1982, to Debra A. (Franklin) Bowling and Andy L. Kipp. Dustin was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and attended both Lakeview and Harper Creek Schools. He was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, nephew & friend that will be missed by all those lucky enough to have known him.

Dustin enjoyed family time, watching movies, making people laugh, writing rhyming rap songs and cars both old & classic or shiny & new. He had a passion for cloud formations and would often find solace in the sky. He was always very generous to his friends & those less fortunate that crossed his path.

Left to cherish his memory is his devoted mother, Debra Bowling (Roy) of Kalamazoo; brother, Brandon Kipp (Kathryn) of Shelby Township; sister, Danielle Davis (Daniel) of LaPorte, IN; maternal grandmother, Barbara Eddinger; as well as a daughter, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, step brother & sister and friends.

He was additionally survived by his father, Andy Kipp; half brothers & sisters, Andy Kipp Jr., Devin Kipp & Katlyn Kipp.

He was preceded in death by his great grandmother, Mildred Boorstein; grandfather, Richard (Speed) Eddinger; and will be joining others that went too young before him, cousins, Kyle Bradley & Ryan Kipp as well as several friends.

Family will receive friends on Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service, 375 W. Dickman Road in Battle Creek from 1:30 to 2:30 pm with memorial service beginning at 2:30 pm.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your child, grandchild, friend, or take a walk and look at the sky for a moment, an hour, a day. Time waits for no one.
