Obituary for Edeith Odean Erwin

Edeith Odean Erwin was born July 13, 1938, in Battle Creek, MI, to Coggie and Odean Williams. She was the youngest of four children, leaving behind her brother, Fred (Barb) Morris and joining in Heaven; sister, Anna Mae McClenney and brother, George Morris.
Edeith married Norman Erwin and had four children; Kim Erwin-Watson (Mark), Tonia Erwin, Norman B. Erwin (Cheryl) and Sherry Wells (Timothy). She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and will join in Heaven family members who transitioned before her.
Edeith Erwin graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1957. It is no surprise that Edeith dedicated her life to nurturing others, which was not only reflected in her home life, but also in her work life. Edeith retired from Evergreen Manor, where she worked as a dietary cook for 37 years. After retirement, she went on to work for the Battle Creek Public Schools.
Although small in stature, Edeith’s presence, personality and heart were so big and strong. She often volunteered her time helping others. She also loved spending time with her loved ones and enjoyed sunny days outdoors.
Edith transitioned at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI, on April 4, 2019.
