Edward Lowell Drake, 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital. He was born on July 5, 1936, the son of Eddie and Nellie Drake.
Ed was an active member in the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Battle Creek and a member of the International Union of Bricklayers.
Ed is survived by his Wife of 24 years - Dorene Kay (Cook) Drake of Battle Creek, Michigan; 12 children and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren, Two Sisters, Margie Thomas, Doris Rodriguez; Special Friends, Jackie (Marian) Russell. He was preceded in death by his Father, Eddie Drake, Mother, Nellie Rose Drake.
Ed enjoyed participating in ministry and working on construction of Kingdom Halls all over the United States. He liked listening to music and playing his guitar. Ed loved traveling with his wife, Dorene and spending time over the years with her. Ed and Dorene loved spending time with their special friends Jackie and Marian Russell, AKA the "Fearsom Foursom". He was dearly loved by anyone that met him, especially his family and friends. Ed was a sweet man with a loving, generous heart that would help out anyone in need.
