Obituary for Eleanor G. Conner (Grant)
Eleanor G. Conner, 101, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. She was born on January 4, 1918, the daughter of Paul and Mary (Markofsky) Gromacki.
Eleanor graduated with honors from Fordson High School in Dearborn, MI. She went on to further her education with a National Honor Society Scholarship to Drake University, where she received her Associate degree. Eleanor drove for the Army Corps. of Transportation Services, this is where she met her husband, Ray C Conner, they later married on Valentine's day in 1947.
Eleanor is survived by her Daughter, Marlynn C Conner; Son, Lynn C Conner and Brother, Chester Gromacki. She was preceded in death by her Parents and husband, Ray C Conner.
Eleanor was an avid golfer and bowler, she was employed at Nottke's for 45 years and loved every second she spent working there, and was known as the 50/50 Queen.
Interment will take place in the White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery.
