Obituary for Ella Mae Quarles

Ella Mae Quarles, 81, of Battle Creek, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 15, 2014 at home. She was born on May 16, 1933, the daughter of Clarence A. McClenney and Irene McClenney.
Ella worked at Kellogg's for 23 years before retiring in 1996. She was a devote member of Unity Missionary Baptist Church.
Ella is survived by her Two Daughters, Rochelle (Charles) Collet and Creceda (Rocky) Quarles; Two Sons, Larry (Glenna) Wilson and Bobby (Joyce) Quarles Jr.; Five Grandsons, Tyrone (Connie) Quarles, Lusiano Quarles, Larry (Lori) Eldridge, Michael Linton, II and Bobby Quarles, III; Three Granddaughters, Erica Hall, Cre-Shelle Quarles and Ashley (Caleb) Mitchell; Two Special friends, Alma Horton and Valanders (Tom) Martin; Special Cousin, Sandra Smith; Brother, Clarence (June) McClenney of Montgomery, AL; 15 Great Grand Children and Great Great Grandchild, Lilyana Jo of FL. She was preceded in death by her Father, Mother, Ex-Husband, Bobby Quarles, Sr., Sister, Mary Jane McClenney, Brothers, Marvin McClenney, Robert McClenney, Arthur McClenney and Leroy McClenney.
Ella loved to sew, shop, and watch western films. She was a kind, caring and sweet woman who was very close to her family and friends and spent much of her time with them.
Visitation will begin at 11 am followed by a home going celebration at the Unity Missionary Baptist Church, 470 Washington Avenue, on Saturday, December 20, 2014, 12:00 pm with Rev. Leroy Smith officiating.
Interment will take place in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
