Obituary for Ellen Elaine Auble (Wilson)
Ellen Elaine Auble of Battle Creek passed away in her sleep surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, December 21st.
Ellen was born in Tacoma, Washington to Judith and William Wilson on August 23, 1963. She grew up riding her bicycle around Lyon Lake neighborhoods in Marshall, Michigan, where she made many life-long friends with her strong-willed and fun-loving personality. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1981.
Ellen married the love of her life, Chris, on April 6, 1991. Together they created a wonderful loving home for daughters Sarah and Emily and later their grandchildren. Ellen helped create a circle of friends from her school years dubbed the Ya-Ya’s and found much happiness making memories and margaritas alongside them. Her friends and family remember her for the delicious meals and baking she did, the garden she and Chris worked on every summer, and her glowing smile.
Ellen is preceded in death by her father, William “Bill” Wilson and her grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Judy Wilson; husband, Chris Auble; daughters Sarah (Zach) Hummel and Emily Auble; four grandchildren (Roland, Magnolia, Ian, and Theodore); sisters-in-law Jen Auble and Tina (Mark) Clinton; and mother-in-law, Barb Auble; as well as her precious dog Louis and her many friends.
Visitation will be at Baxter Funeral and Cremation at 1:00 on Tuesday, December 27th, followed by a memorial service at 2:00.
Memorial contributions can be dedicated to Southwest Hospice Center for their genuine care and kindness in Ellen’s final days.
