Obituary for Emma Charlene Bundy (Wright)
Emma Charlene Bundy, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital. She was born on May 14, 1938, the daughter of Cecil Carney and Mary C. (VanDyke) Wright.
She married Gordon Bundy on December 14, 1968 in Battle Creek, MI.
Emma is survived by her daughters, Nancy Lester, Christine Jolley, Debie Oldham, Percella Brown, Charlat (Mark) Serbantez, Sue Bundy; 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; brother, Cecil E. Wright and her beloved animal companions, Sassy and Libby. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gordon Bundy and sons, Daniel Oldham, John Oldham and Freeman Bundy.
Emma loved to take care of and decorate her yard for the holidays, Christmas and Halloween were her favorites, but she made sure to decorate for them all. She enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings for her family, going to garage sales, shopping at Goodwill, watching NASCAR or any type of racing, and more recently collecting porcelain dolls.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Monday, February 21, 2022, starting at 11:00 am with Rev. Jeff Eckman officiating.
Interment will take place in the Reese Cemetery.
Following the graveside service, everyone is invited back to North Avenue Church of God for a memorial luncheon gathering.
