Obituary for Evelyn D. Beach
Evelyn Dorothy (Bevilhymer) Beach of Springfield, Michigan went to be with the Lord on April 7, 2021. She was born on July 30, 1945 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Elza and Loretta (Burgess) Bevilhymer. She worked at Meijer for 15 years when she retired in 2004.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Lisa Merry (James Merry), Rose Keefus (Steve Brandli) and Owen Keefus Jr.; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren with an 8th one due in June 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James F. Beach, and sister, Arlena Shroll.
Evelyn loved to go bowling, fishing, four wheeling, camping, trips to Kentucky and to the races to watch her husband and son-in-law Jamie race. She also loved riding in the Jeep four wheeling with her future son-in-law, Steve.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Evelyn’s caregivers, Joyce Cooper Mays, Angela, and to a special friend, Elizabeth Durr for helping and being there for our mom and us.
In accordance with Evelyn’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Huntington’s Association or the Diabetic Foundation, or to the family, they will donate it to one of these.
