Obituary for Florence Marie Boles (Busick)
Florence "Pie" Marie Boles, 83, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed on Sunday, May 15, 2022 at home with her four daughters by her side. She was born on February 11, 1939, the daughter of Carl and Irene Louise (West) Busick.
She married the love of her life, Jewell, on February 22, 1958. Lake life was a highlight of their marriage teaching their daughters how to ski, fish, swim, as well as, their friends and family. Pie was an avid crafter, she enjoyed making scrapbooks, beautiful quilts, wooden lawn ornaments and holiday cards. She was a woman of many talents and liked to make handmade keepsakes for all of her family. Our mom was a loving and caring person, she opened her heart to anyone that needed a hug, an ear to listen and provided words of encouragement, love and support. Florence once served as the Chief Union Steward at the Battle Creek Enquirer.
Florence is survived by her daughters, Linda Linke, Teresa (James) Walling, Michelle (Paul) Brewer, Julie (Joseph) Fleming; grandchildren, Heather West, Shawn Brewer, Jamie (Darren) Walling, Shane (Kelsey) Brewer, Michael Willavize, Joseph (Arianna) Fleming, James Fleming; great grandchildren, Ethan Clark, Logan Brewer, Kaylee Glidden, Allison Brewer, Brinley Fleming; extended grandchildren and great grandchildren, Javon, John, Abrianna, Nyonnah, Shane, Shayonna, Faith Ann; sisters, Nellie Smith, Betty Jenkins and brother, Carl Busick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell; sisters, Mary and Dorothy and brothers, Ralph, Robert, Donald.
A funeral service will be held at the Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service on Thursday, May 19, 2022 starting at 12:30 pm with Pastor David Morton officiating. There will be a gathering at her home immediately following the interment at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
