Frank accepted Christ at a very young age. He joined St. Mark C.M.E. Church and served in many capacities under the leadership of the late Pastor Robert L. Gordon.
He attended Battle Creek Public Schools. After high school graduation, he advanced his education by attending and graduating from the RETS Electronic School of Detroit Michigan, and served as a local disc jockey in the Detroit area. He served in the United States Army where he received an Honorable Military Service Discharge. While stationed in Fort Benjamin Harrison Indianapolis he served as a Television Technician for many local universities. He later was employed with the Kellogg Cereal Factory for nearly 40 years as an Electronic Instrument Repair Technician, retiring in 2013.
Frank was an avid golfer who began playing as a young man. He perfected his golfing skills while serving as a caddy for the Battle Creek Country Club as a teen. Frank loved his children and grandchildren. He often would plan trips and outings with his families, such as Cedar Point and Hawaii, fusing the two things he loved most family and travel. (and of course golf!) He also enjoyed hosting and planning family BBQ’s in which he shared with the neighborhood, family, and friends. He was celebrated and praised for his mouth watering BBQ chicken, and ribs. His late mother, Eula M. Drain, would always say “Andrew has a good heart”, due to his extreme generously and giving nature. This was demonstrated by his contributions to various churches, and organizations. He rarely met a stranger, and if you wanted to have a conversation he was always willing to engage you!
Frank was formerly married to Rosa Lee (Tate) Mobley.
