Obituary for Frederick N. Jacob
Frederick N. Jacob passed away November 24, 2020 at Glenn Arbor in Battle Creek, Michigan. Fred, known as Sonny Boy by the family and grandson of Henry Jacob & Sons Moving Company, was born February 9, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Frederick and Margaret (Danku) Jacob.
Fred grew up in Battle Creek and graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1963 and worked as a baker at Bill Knapp’s Commissary for 10 years, Mayflower moving company, Goodwill and most recently Summit Pointe in facility and maintenance. In 1965 Fred married Linda Draime, which ended in divorce. Together Fred and Linda have three children Timothy Jacob, Bethany Peak and Stephanie Jacob.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Maggie; brother, Herb Nelson and sisters, Linnea Nelson and Judy Jacob. Fred is survived by children, Timothy, Bethany, Stephanie and grandchildren, Alyssia Peak, James Marshall and Kailyn Peak. He also leaves behind cousins from the Jacob and Danku family.
The family would like to extend our gratitude to the amazing caregivers at Glenn Arbor Hospice Care: Carrie, Katelyn, Ambur, Mary, Mary Claire, Jody, Jeff, Joe, Tom, Missy, Trish and Sara.
In accordance with Fred’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private service for family will be held. Memorial tributes may be made to Glenn Arbor Hospice Care.
