Obituary

Gail Lee Salters, 58, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. She was born on May 1, 1962, the daughter of James Lee and Lovie Mae (Ewings) Salters.
Gail is survived by her Father, James Salters; Brother, Archie Sorrell; Sister, Denise Salters; Nieces, Aisha (Marcus) Willis, Archelle Sorrell; Nephew, Jibri (Nina) Smith, 9 Great Nieces and Nephews, 1 Great Great Nephew; Special Cousins, Maxine Sloan-Gross, Dorothy Sloan, O.D. and Mary Lou Collins, Geraldine Salters, Gloria Adams and a host of cousins. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Lovie Mae Salters.
Gail had a big heart, was a generous giver, was special and one of a kind. She was self-less and helped everyone that needed her. She was an excellent caregiver to her Father and Mother, and at times would often baby-sit her nieces and nephews, who she considered her own children. Gail and her sister Denise uniquely share the same birth day, only two years apart that she always cherished. She was a faithful church member, tithe payer, seed sewer, with a great love of people. Gail dedicated her life to the Lord, she attended Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church as a young girl, then to the Church of God the Prophesy, and finally the Potters House Church. She always saw the good in others, no matter the situation. Well done thy good and faithful servant.
Visitation will be held at the Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service, on Thursday, September 17, 2020 from 12:00 pm (noon) to 1:00 pm.
Following current state restrictions, 10 visitors will be allowed inside the building at a time.
A private family chapel service will follow.
Memorials may be made to the Lipedema Foundation, 39 Lewis Street, 4th Floor, Greenwich, CT 06830, in honor of Gail.
