Obituary for Gayl Daniel Keck

Gayl Daniel  Keck
Gayl Daniel Keck, 79, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away after a long battle with cancer on, May 24, 2017 at home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 24, 1937, the son of Milo Keck and Esther (Reed) Keck.
Gayl attended Battle Creek Central until 11th grade. Later he received his GED while serving in the United States Navy from 1955 to 1957. Gayl worked and retired from Grand Trunk and Canadian National in 1999.
Gayl is survived by his Wife of 50 years - Sharon E. (Martin) Keck of Battle Creek, Michigan; Three Sons, Neil D. Keck of Butte, MT, Kevin T. (Sharon) Keck of Delton, MI, Randall E. (Lisa) Keck of Battle Creek, MI; Two Daughters, Sharyl L. Keck of Novi, MI, Sonya M. (David) Bieth of East China, MI, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Father, Milo Keck, Mother, Esther Keck, Sister, Kay I. Keck, Brother, Ernest A. Cuykendall, Brother, Wayne E. Cuykendall, Brother, Raymond R. Cuykendall and Sister, Evelyn M. Wright.
He enjoyed garage sales, puzzles and watching the birds and squirrels in the back yard. He also enjoyed watching shows on television that restored old cars. His main love was spending time with his family.
Per Gayl's request, his body has been donated to the University of Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to West Michigan Cancer Center of Kalamazoo or the Veterans Affairs.
