Gene A. Pifer of Battle Creek, MI, departed this life on February 23, 2024 surrounded by his family and after a battle with cancer.
He was born on October 5, 1940 in Montgomery, MI, the youngest of five children.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Mural and Rose (Hand) Pifer; brothers, J.D., Melvin and Darrel and sister, Flossie (Pifer) McClaine
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; sons, Kenneth and Nick Pifer; daughters, Tammy MacCrossen, Brenda Trimm, Penny Walters; 16 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life of Gene's life will be held at a later date.
