Obituary for Geraldine "Geri" Morgan
Geraldine (Geri) Morgan, 74, of Bellevue, went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her loving family on July 24, 2019. She was born August 21, 1945 in Battle Creek, the daughter of Arthur and Rosamund (Jordan) Greene.
She married Clyde Morgan on September 1, 1962 in Baltimore, MD.
Geri graduated from KCC with and Associates Degree and served one term on the Assyria Township Board. She retired from Battle Creek Public Schools where she was employed as a Para-pro.
She is survived by her husband; and sons, Clyde Jr. (Tammy) Morgan and Kenneth Morgan of Battle Creek; five grandchildren: Josh Morgan, Michelle (Josh) Crandall, Benjamin Morgan, Emma Morgan, and Grace Morgan all of Battle Creek; special nephew Tod (Gina) Masters and special niece Tammy Perry both of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Christine Sue, brother-in-law Tom Masters, Cousin Karen Johnson, daughter-in-law Marla Morgan, and mother Rosamund Greene.
Family was very important to Geri, and time spent with family meant everything to her. She enjoyed traveling, painting, reading, and gardening, and finding strength in scripture.
A graveside service will be held at Hicks Cemetery on July 26, 2019 at 11:00 am in Pennfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Geri’s name can be made to the Rose Fund (a fund of the Battle Creek Community Foundation), or Oaklawn Hospice in Marshall. Arrangements entrusted to Baxter Funeral and Cremation Service.
