Jane Danek, 78 of Battle Creek, passed away on April 17 2022, after battling a long illness. She was born on April 20, 1943 to Rayburn and Mary Jinright. Jane was a homemaker. In July of 1963, she married Jack Danek, and they spent the next 58 years in love.
Jane was the babysitter for several neighborhood children. She served on the PTSA Board at both Coburn Elementary and Southwestern Jr. High School, holding several positions on both Boards. She was the noontime Playground Supervisor at McKinley and Coburn schools. She loved children and has touched several of their lives.
After retirement, Jack and Jane spent their summers at Sandy Pines Resort in Dorr, Michigan. Jane loved garage sales and was an avid collector of artifacts. She was an excellent seamstress, very crafty, and enjoyed growing her flowers, especially at Sandy Pines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Danek, and her daughter, Penny Gay. Brother Billy Jinright, and sister Peggy Perry.
Surviving are her children, Michelle (Billy) Holder, Lori Danek and George (Patty) Danek; grandchildren, Jake (Hannah) Danek, Duane Brust, Cassie (Johnny) Knaggs, and Sara (Jallen) Johnson; 3 great grandchildren, Kamdyn Allred, Roselynn and Zayden Johnson. Also surviving are sisters, Sussie (Mike) Frey, and Bonnie Jinright-Pierce.
