Gloria Jean Gilson, 72, of Athens, Michigan, passed away on Monday, September 4, 2017 at The Manor of Battle Creek. She was born on November 28, 1944, the daughter of Donald Oscar Wellington and Edith Rachel (Davis) Wellington.
Gloria was 1962 graduate of Harper Creek High School. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Gloria is survived by her Husband of 51 years, Earl Duane Gilson of Athens, MI; Daughters, Beth Gilson of Battle Creek, MI and Karrie Gilson of St. Petersburg, FL; Son, William (Luanne) Gilson of Springfield, MI; Grandchildren, Travis (Cathey) Cohoon of Battle Creek, MI, Dustin Goins of Marshall, MI, Cheyann Gilson of Jacksonville, FL, Ellen Gallaway of Battle Creek, MI, Lissa Corinne Magee of Battle Creek, MI, LaKota Gilson of Battle Creek, MI, Story Gilson of Battle Creek, MI and Rowan Gilson of Battle Creek, MI; Great Grandchildren, TaeLe Cohoon, Tristan Gallaway and Chase Gallaway. She was preceded in death by her Parents and 5 Brothers.
Gloria enjoyed crafts, collecting dolls, antiques, cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
