Grace Louise (Stahlhood) Deer passed away at Glenn Arbor Hospice on December 9, 2017 at the age of 70.
Grace is predeceased by her sisters Lora Janet (Stahlhood) Cantrell and Juanita M. Harland.
Grace is survived by her loving husband Lester Deer of 53 years. They were married in Battle Creek on December 13, 1963.
Grace is lovingly remembered by her children Teresa (Bruce) Jordon, Diane (Erick) Wetters, Duane Deer; grandchildren Eustatia Jordon and Raegan Wetters; brother Rex (Dorothy) Stahlhood; sister Jane (Tom) Martin and all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Grace was born in Battle Creek, MI on January 17, 1947. She retired from Sam’s Club, where she worked as a demonstrator.
Grace enjoyed sewing, baking with her grandchildren, making jewelry and she loved Elvis. She enjoyed spending time at South Haven watching the boats, taking trips to Shipshewana, and she enjoyed being an active member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
A memorial will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church, 41 North Bedford Road, Battle Creek, MI 49037 on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM. A time of fellowship will be held immediately following the services.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations to help cover final expenses. Donations may be made during the fellowship or you may contact a family member.
